I am gutted! This is in a good way, if that makes sense! I’m not even sure where to begin. This book has rendered me speechless. I highlighted more verses in this book than I ever have and taken more notes to help write this review. Guess what? It’s not helping. This is a very bittersweet moment because I couldn’t wait to read this book. I also didn’t want to because I know I would have to read those word, The End. I’m not ready for that. I love this family. This author has taken this family and made us want to know them and become friends with them.So where to begin? I guess the beginning. I will attempt to do this justice without giving any spoilers. Instead, there will be many descriptive adjectives. If I ramble please excuse me. I’m in a book inebriation and I really don’t want to sober up! I want to live in this stupor a little while longerFrom the moment I started reading Dominate I was filled with pride for Sloan. She became the person she was always meant to be. There is a moment in the very beginning of the book where she asserts herself with Vaughn Harris and truly shows how strong she has grown. Gareth’s response to this moment had me swooning, smiling and tearing up all at the same time. I was grinning from ear to ear. Throughout the story she just continues to evolve.You will also fall head over heels in love with Sloan’s daughter, Sophia. You realize children become what they see and learn. So well done Sloan.During the course of this book all the ends are tied up in the biggest bow you can possibly imagine. All the t’s are crossed and i’s are dotted and everything else is mixed right in to make the perfect cake.Gareth, is every sexy, soul touching, strong, feeling, brooding footballer we knew he would be and so, so much more, even a little dorky, which is totally adorable. He is stoic, yet vulnerable, complex, yet basic. For all his gruffness we’ve read about, he is also sweet and tender. He truly is the glue that held this family together. Meanwhile, we get to see all sides to his sexiness. Please read this story for the club scene alone, but bring your fan, cause it’s hot!!! There are too many things I could write pointing out just how sexy Gareth is but this review would be longer than War and Peace. Just trust me.As we were all hoping every Harris is featured in very moving ways. We get to reel in all the funny banter, craziness and touching moments. We even get to reacquaint with some of our London Lover friends.The author has taken her writing to another level. She poured everything she had to do the Harris family and her readers justice. It was a complete success. My heart ached from all the smiles, and joy, but sometimes my heart had tears. When it was nearing the time before the words,” The End” I was breathless from the entire experience and very hesitant to finish. I didn’t want it to be over. I relived every moment from every Harris book and I cried, as I am now just thinking about it. This book was the author’s love story for this family and a gift to her readers. I want to thank her for sharing this marvelous family with us.As you can tell I am not a bonafide reviewer or critic I’m just your normal reader who enjoys a good book. I’m telling you if you want to become immersed in a good book grab any Harris book and fall in love. These are books you’ll read again and again.As The Little Mermaid says, Thank you Amy, for letting me be “part of your world”! With a big sigh I close the book on the Harris brothers... this was a great read. I loved the build-up of the relationship between Gareth and Sloan. Both have their fears and baggage but this makes it so rewarding. And Sophia... ah... Sophia. I enjoyed how Gareth interacted with the little girl, learning her to play footie.One of my favorite quotes:"I need you to know that I'm all in, Sloan. And I'm not the kind of man who jumps out of airplanes for a rush. I'm the kind of man who stands on the ground, waiting to catch you. "I loved how Amy pulled together all the titles in the World Cup shout out from captain Gareth:'Then let's go out there with our heads held high, our bodies full of endurance, and our hearts ready to challenge! We will not surrender. We will dominate because we are the keepers of this game!"And I actually wondered if she made this up in the beginning (this I miss this?) because it's great.
